FREE ‘keys2drive’ Lessons – Funding Secure to 2016

The ‘keys2drive’ program was established in 2007 with an initial grant from the Federal Government of $17 million. To date ‘keys2drive’ has delivered more than 230,000 free lessons to learner drivers across Australia.

In the lead up to the 2013 Federal election, the Coalition pledged to commit substantial funding to ensure this worthwhile program be retained.

The great news is that this specialised training program is set to continue. The Federal Government has now committed $10 million over the next three years. It is estimated that this additional $10 million is enough to fund a further two and a half years of FREE driving lessons.
